Gee's BBQ ("we," "us") runs this website for our Santa Ana restaurant. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with. It is not legal advice. If you have questions, email info@geesbbq.com.

Information we collect

We collect information you give us on this site:

• Pickup and tray orders: name, phone, email, order items, pickup or delivery time, notes, and, for tray delivery, your street address.
• Event catering inquiries: name, phone, email, event type, guest count, event date, preferred time, and any message you send.
• Newsletter: email, and name if you provide it.

Payment card details are entered in Square's checkout. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. Square processes the charge and sends us order and payment confirmation.

The site also collects standard analytics (pages visited, device, and approximate location) through Google Analytics and Vercel. We use this to understand how the website is used, not to identify you by name.

How we use it

• Take and fulfill orders, including delivery when you request it.
• Follow up on catering inquiries.
• Send order confirmations and other emails about your order or request.
• Send restaurant updates, specials, and announcements through Square Marketing.
• Improve the website and keep it secure.
• Meet tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention needs.

Square and other services

We use other companies to run the site. They only get what they need to provide their service:

• Square: payments, orders, customer profiles, and marketing emails.
• Resend: transactional emails such as order and catering confirmations.
• Our database host (Neon): stores orders, catering inquiries, and newsletter signups we keep for the restaurant.
• Google Analytics and Vercel: website usage and performance.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with unrelated third parties for their own marketing.

Marketing emails

If you place an order, submit a catering inquiry, or join the newsletter, we may save your contact details in Square and send marketing emails through Square Marketing. To opt out of those emails, use the unsubscribe link Square includes in them. That is handled in Square Marketing, not through this website. We will still email you when needed about an order or catering request you submitted.

How long we keep it

We keep order, inquiry, and signup records as long as we need them to fulfill orders, answer questions, and meet recordkeeping requirements. Analytics data is kept according to those providers' settings.

Your choices

To stop marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link in a Square Marketing email. Email info@geesbbq.com to ask what information we have, to correct it, or to request that we delete it where we can. We may need to keep some records of paid orders. This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. We do not currently change site behavior in response to that signal.

Changes

We may update this page from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
